| About | Joshua "Josh" Karas of Avon, passed away July 12, 2016 unexpectedly following a short illness. He was born July 26, 1975 growing up in the Wellington area. Josh was a 1993 Honors graduate of the Lorain County JVS, specializing in electronics. He has been a valued employee of Jim's Electric in North Ridgeville for over 15 years. He loved his children, sharing his hobbies and interests with them, including his love of being outdoors, working in the yard, canoeing, fishing, grilling, woodworking and more. Josh was a big train buff, belonging to the Northeastern Ohio Live Steamers Association, where they enjoyed many hours riding his two 7.5 gauge engine trains. He is survived by his two children Brianna N. Karas, Jacob A. Karas, and their mother Haley (nee Taulbee) Karas, parents George and Marian (nee Clawson) Karas, sister Rachel A. Karas many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Walter Karas and Leona (nee Klingshirn) Karas, and maternal grandparents Marion and Elizabeth (Knight) Clawson. |
| Events | The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 19, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, 36363 Detroit Rd. Avon. and Wednesday at 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM, Pastor Bob Wickens officiating. Interment will be private. |
