About Me | My family and I lived in Togo, Thistledew Camp specifcally from 1956 until moving to Bagley in 1970. It was a harrowing experience going from the small school in Togo to this "huge" (subjective) school in the town of Bagley. I have lived and loved as all of you, lost loves, as most of you, and now am living a wonderful life in a new Shouse behind my daughter, her husband and my granddogs. I indicated I have 13 grandchildren. I have inherited all my babies via bloodline or general "adoption". I love them all dearly and am referred to as Granty (Grandma, Auntie, great auntie, etc.) I have a total of 13 neices and nephews of which all are my babies. I like to travel. Went to Italy in 2018. Always wanted to go there and couldn't believe I did it. Loved it and would love to go back. Elsewise, I travel to spots in the U.S. My brother, Robbie lives in North Carolina, so I take advantage of that location! I have friends Mesa, AZ and have been going for about 13 years now. I was going to buy then I woke up and thought what was this Minnesota girl going to do frying my butt and being away from my grandbabies. So I build a new little one level home with lots of big windows and awesome garage and a front yard with deer, birds and squirrels...I was going to Montana regularly but my cousin I was visiting out there died. My girlfriend and I go to Las Vega about two times per years..funny, neither of us drink or gamble... At any rate, throughout the years I have learned to take life rather lightly (unless warranted) and wait in lines without getting ruffled and homicidal:) I sing to the music in the stores which, of course really angers my daughter. So I stop! NAH! When I got to Bagley, I realized I had left my formative years and friends behind me. I knew it added to my teenage angst, but now as I grow older, I realize how important those relationships were. My classmates in Bagley were with their friends from kindergarten and everyone knew pretty much everyone. Again, not so much realization of what I was missing at the time, but now am. Anyway, this brings us to now. Relationships are more important than ever and although it may be somewhat uncomfortable at first, I am willing to jump into the pool of unknown and begin the best part of my life with other people with who filled my youth and and happy days as a child and early teen. Although I didnt go to BHS, I know many of the older students as my sibs Patsy,'65, Randy '67, Carroll '68 went there and I just happened to be a very nosy little sister. This is more than I talk about myself, so there you are. I hope that anyone who might recognize members of the Felt family of Thistledew will feel free to get in touch and he...(read more) |
