About Me	After getting my Master's at Tech and PhD at Georgia, I was on the faculty at Baylor for 5 years. Left there to go into straight research. Have been a senior scientist at Washington University in St. Louis, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and now Purdue. Have spent a lot of time collecting a lot of different critters for my research. My range of study organisms is from bacteria to whales although most of my work is with mammals. I've now published over 70 refereed scientific papers. I don't have a 'job', I just get to play in the lab. Have three wonderful children who are doing well in life. My oldest just finished his PhD in virology at Kansas State and is about to start a post-doc position in Philaldelphia. My younger son got his degrees in photojournalism and journalism and is now working as a banker. Which is what he did part time throughout the time he was going to college...(read more)
