Born on June 16, 1959, in New York City, Tony Krantz is an acclaimed American film and television producer, writer, and director. He started his career as a trainee in a mailroom at the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), over the course of 15 years, he rose to prominence, eventually leading the primetime television department. Krantz played an instrumental role in packaging iconic television series such as ER, Twin Peaks, Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, and The West Wing, along with movies like The Doors and Wild at Heart.

He not only excelled in his early career but also demonstrated his versatility and expertise as a producer after co-founding Imagine Television. Serving as co-chairman and CEO, he produced hit shows including Felicity, Sports Night, The PJs, and 24, as well as the film Mulholland Drive.
