Stacy Margolin, an accomplished American tennis player, was born on April 5, 1959, in Beverly Hills, California, U.S. She is a proud alumna of Beverly Hills High School. A skilled left-handed player, Margolin turned professional at the age of 19 in 1979 and had a commendable career until her retirement in 1987.

Over her eight year-long professional career, Margolin had 63 victories in her 155 singles matches, earning her a career-high world singles ranking of No. 18 in 1979. In doubles, she had a career record of 30 wins in her 124 matches. Her career prize money totalled to $149,689.

In Grand Slam singles, her best performance was reaching the fourth round of the US Open in 1978. Likewise, in Grand Slam doubles, she made it to the third round of the French Open in 1981. She also had multiple appearances in Wimbledon and the French Open.

The former tennis player remarkably won a gold medal at the 1977 Maccabiah Games in Israel. In her esteemed career, Stacy Margolin competed in a total of twenty-five grand slam championships.

While at Beverly Hills High School, Margolin not only emerged as the No. 1 women's singles player but also joined the men's varsity tennis team, reaching the top player slot. At the University of Southern California, she went undefeated during her freshman and sophomore years in dual home matches, contributing to the Trojans' USTA (1978) and AIAW (1979) national team titles.

In 1977, she became the U.S. 21-and-Under Champion, and was a member of the U.S. Team participating in international tournaments. All her feats stand testament to her significant contribution to the sport of tennis.
