Born in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR, USSR on March 8, 1987, Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an accomplished American actress, comedian, and activist. The actress's early years were spent in Soviet Union before she immigrated to the United States with her Jewish family when she was just two years old, fleeing the antisemitism prevalent in her native land. She settled in West Hollywood, California, and her journey in the world of acting started at the tender age of five, appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials.

After dropping out of Beverly Hills High School, she furthered her education, obtained a GED, and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She also honed her skills at the Upright Citizens Brigade, studying improvisational comedy.

Vayntrub got her first break in acting in 1995 when she appeared in three episodes of the NBC television series ER. She then collaborated with Stevie Nelson to create the YouTube comedy channel, Live Prude Girls, which gained recognition, ranking at number 93 on the NewMediaRockstars' Top 100 Channels countdown. Her career path saw her playing small roles in films and television, including the likes of Life Happens and Silicon Valley, and starring in several CollegeHumor videos.

The actress catapulted to fame playing Lily Adams, the saleswoman in AT&T television commercials from 2013 to 2016 and again reprising the role in 2020. Apart from this, she was a regular on Yahoo! Screen's science fiction comedy Other Space in 2015 and had a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us from 2016 to 2017. In an interesting turn of events, Vayntrub was selected to voice Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise starting in 2018 after being cast as the character in the unaired television pilot for New Warriors.

Despite the ups and downs in her career, Vayntrub's contributions to the world of acting, comedy, and activism make her a noteworthy alumna of Beverly Hills High School and a role model for many young individuals striving to make their mark in the industry.
