What is Lloyd Avery II (1969–2005) known for?

Born June 21, 1969, Lloyd Avery II was an American actor known for his significant roles in notable films. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and attended Beverly Hills High School, a well-known educational institution in California.

Lloyd Avery II's acting career was definitely an impactful one. He made his debut in the Oscar-nominated film, "Boyz n the Hood", directed by John Singleton. Avery's role in the film involved him playing one of the murderers of high school football star Ricky Baker, played by Morris Chestnut. His character was later killed in the film as an act of retaliation by Doughboy, a character portrayed by Ice Cube.

Avery worked again with Singleton in his next film, "Poetic Justice" (1993). Avery continued his acting career through the late '90s and into 2000, starring as Nate in the film "Lockdown" and as G-Ride in the 2001 independent film, "Shot".

However, Avery's life took a turn towards tragedy when, in 2001, he was convicted for a double homicide, landing him a life sentence in prison. Unfortunately, his life was cut short when he was murdered by his cellmate in prison at the age of 36 in Crescent City, California.
