Born on May 11, 1964, in Los Angeles, California, Katharine Wagner, popularly known as Katie Wagner, is a distinguished American television personality and Hollywood reporter. Her career took off notably when she hosted the TV Guide Channel from 2002 to 2004. Moreover, she has been credited for her work on "The Starlet", "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", and "Live From the House of Blues".

She was born to actors Marion Marshall and Robert Wagner, making her a part of a storied Hollywood legacy. Katie graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1982 and attended a semester at Santa Barbara City College. Before finding her calling in the entertainment industry, she explored a career in modeling that took her to places like Tokyo and London.

Her first break came in 1987 when she expressed her interest in hosting during an interview on the TV show "Born Famous". This kickstarted her media career, and she found herself interviewing Dan Aykroyd and Donna Dixon for the Don Mischer special "M & W" on ABC. Soon after, she had a two-and-a-half-year stint with the Movietime Cable Network, now the E! Network.
