Breckin Erin Meyer was born on May 7, 1974, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He rose to fame as an actor with his roles in prominent films and television series. Some of his most memorable roles were in films like 'Clueless' (1995), 'The Craft' (1996), 'Road Trip' (2000), 'Rat Race' (2001), and 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' (2009). In addition, he played Jon Arbuckle in the live-action 'Garfield' movies and provided the voice for Joseph Gribble in 'King of the Hill' (2000–2010). As a young boy, Meyer started acting in television commercials and participated in the game show 'Child's Play'. His acting career took off when he came into contact with Drew Barrymore's agent through his elementary school. Barrymore was not only a schoolmate, but she was also apparently his first kiss. Later, he graduated to leading role status with the DreamWorks hit 'Road Trip' (2000), in which he played a desperate college student on a cross country trip.

Meyer is known for his versatility, having played a variety of roles from the busboy married to the coat-check girl in '54' (1998) to the hapless owner of the comic strip cat in the film adaptation of 'Garfield' (2004). His more recent pivotal work includes starring in 'Blue State' (2007) opposite Anna Paquin, where he plays a passionately liberal guy on the campaign trail for John Kerry in the 2004 elections. He also co-starred with Matthew McConaughey in 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' (2009).
