Born on June 25, 1939, in Los Angeles, CA Allen E. Fox is a significant American former tennis player and coach who graced the 1960s and 1970s with his exceptional talent. A proud alumnus of Beverly Hills High School, Fox took his love for tennis from school courts to prestigious global championships.

Over the course of his career, Fox not only played at a high level but also achieved great success. His career saw him ranked as high as U.S. No. 4 in 1962, and he was listed in the top ten in the U.S. five times between 1961 and 1968. His college career at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) was just as decorated, having won the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) doubles title in 1960 with Larry Nagler and the NCAA singles title in 1961. In 1962, Fox claimed the US National Hard Court title.

Fox's prowess also shone in international competitions, as he won a gold medal in singles at the 1965 Maccabiah Games in Israel. At the 1969 Maccabiah Games, he doubled his glory by winning gold medals in singles and doubles.

The sporting world has recognized Fox's immense contribution to tennis. He was elected to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Hall of Fame, the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, the Southern California Tennis Association Hall of Fame, and the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame.
