Navy, 18 Years
Being in the Class of 78', I quit school after my junior year and enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. I served all over the world in my 18 years. I was off the coast of Iran aboard the USS Ranger CV-61 when our hostages were released in 1981. I was aboard the USS Coral Sea CV-43 when we crossed the Line of Death and attacjked Libya in 1986 and I served in Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom in 1990/91. I was an aviation jet engine technician. I am now employed as a Quality Engineer with the worlds largest defence contractor. I am part of our nations 5th generation fighter, the F35 program. To all our past, present and future service members,I thank you for your service. It was very rewarding for me and have no regrets for the decisions I have made in my life.
