Dawn worked as a Data Processor for Ingram Micro. Dawn was a member of the Band, both Marching and Concert, and Flag Team. She was also a member of Ben Davis Christian Church. She is survived by her children, Heather Rodriquez, Deanna DeWeese, and Lori DeWeese; her mother, Peggy Steinke; sister, Dana Melvin; brothers, Billy, Kenny, and Kris Steinke. Her death was very unexpected. Her death was followed recently by her oldest child, Nicholas L. Steinke on Oct. 16, 2023, also very unexpectedly.

Dawn loved her children and grandchildren. She had an obsession with Tweety Bird!
