About	Kathleen "Kathe" Fream Carlsson, 81, of Oxford, PA passed away Friday, September 1st, at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, PA. Kathleen was born in Newark, NJ on February 19, 1942, a daughter of the late Harry S. and Evelyn F. (Fream) Carlson. After graduation from Belvidere High School attended Katherine Gibbs in Montclair NJ She was then employed by Martin Guitar in Nazareth PA and later the office of the District Attorney (Bernard V O’Hare) of Northampton County PA. Upon marriage to John K Fitch III, Kathleen moved to Manhattan and studied at the NY Institute of Finance while working for the brokerage firm of Kahlineger &Co Exchange Place. Her marriage ended in divorce and she returned to PA and became co owner and manager of Greenbriar Farm in Forks Township PA raising and training thorough bred horses. Kathe also enjoyed Fox Hunting with the Berry Hollow Hunt. She obtained her real estate license and was affiliated with Bealer Jacowitz Easton PA and later Ruhl Reality in Palmer Township. While working as a Realtor , she took courses at Moravian College and Northampton College earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. Employed as an RN and later a Nurse Therapist by the Care Unit in the Slate Belt area which treated problems of addictions. A long time Equestrian since the age of 4. After relocating to Chester County PA in 1994 where she co owned and operated August Moon Farm, she again began raising horses: among her successful show horses and ponies; Leroy Brown, Capt Hook, Magic Touch, Swedish Blend, Mikimoto, Sequoia,, Holding Court, Print Out and Music Please. Her horses were successfully shown in FL, and at the Devon Horse Show, Washington International, the National Horse Show, St Christopher, Ludwigs Corner, Quenton and Harrisburg. In 1988 Kathe suffered a fall from her horse which injured her spinal cord. She was told she would not walk again. Although it took 4 years to over come she learned to walk again and ride. She lived with chronic pain as a result of this accident Predeceased by her parents, beloved sister Beatrice Virginia (Carlsson) Smith . Survived by her Husband of 41 years George E Allen III, ½ sister Joan (Warner ) Hester and life long friend Tanis O’Donnell whom she considered her sister of choice, Jason S Fitch and partner Deonna Duvall, Grand daughter Casey (Fitch) Webb, nieces Stephanie (Smith Kercel), Pauline (Smith) Carusi and Kylie Hester, cousins Ward Landrigan and Ron Fream

I was sorry to learn about Kathy's death. I saw her once following Belvidere High School. It was at the 2022 BHS Alumni Dinner. It was an opportunity to apologize. When I was a freshman at Lafayette College, I invited her to a college weekend. Big mistake! She was probably 15 and the fraternity drinking was a real "turn-off"! I had to take her home that afternoon. That's what can happen when you are an 18-year-old child. I never saw Kathy again until the 2022 dinner, 65 years later. I felt compelled to see her and apologize. She lived a full, active life. My thoughts go to her family and friends...Ed Auble, BHS '57
