Bellingham High School Original Mascot Petition

Hi,
My name is Amanda Speek and I'm doing my senior year culminating project on the original BHS mascot, and a petition to show that there were people who loved and cherished it and would like to see it somewhere.

Many members of my family, and family friends have gone to Bellingham and were honored to be a Red Raider.

I understand that there was a lot of debate going on about the appropriateness of having a Native American in full headdress. And I completely respect your if you are against what I have to say.

All I ask is you read over what it says, or contact me for more information. This is history and tradition that's seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth.
