| Favorite School Memory | Gay Gates and I using Ms. Jarsma's car to go to BC during school (we had a pass from her) for props for our Senior Play, then we stopped at the Ritzee to eat and spilled our drink in her car. Oops! |
| About Me | I worked at Security Nat'l Bank in BC after HS, then a little while at Post, then over 17 years at General Aluminum in Charlotte. Since Nov. of 2001 I have been a library parapro at the Elementary. I love my job! Kids are fun and I work with a great staff. I married my (2nd) husband Buck in 1993 and we have a daughter Maddie, named after my mom Madelyn. I stopped working when she was 5 months old to be a stay at home mom. Then while I was working at Bellevue Felpausch (Maddie was 3 then), Nov.15th opening day of deer season, she was diagnosed as a type I diabetic. Maddie is now a sophomore here at BHS. I realized earlier, today, 31 years ago my father died during the big snow storm of '78. My mom died in August during that terrible heat spell without any rain in '88. I am an aunt to 10 and (brag, brag, brag) one of my nephews, Brett, received a Rhodes Scholarship last year while at Princeton. He is at Oxford for 2 years. He is a great kid. (updated 4/3/2013: I still work at the elem. library, Maddie graduated from BHS 2011 and goes to KCC for Photography, she is very creative, takes after me I think) (updated 5/13/14: One photo of Maddie's won a "Best in Black and White Photography" and the same photo won the "Best of Show "in the KCC Student Art Show in April this year.
