Richard Melvin Hunt, age 63 of Canada, Kentucky, passed away, Thursday, May 13, 2010 at his home.
He was senior staff Attorney for the Kentucky Supreme Court. He was a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and a member of the Pike County Bar Association.
He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on January 3, 1947 the son of the late Archie and Flossie Smith Hunt.
He is survived by his wife, Janie T. Mullins Hunt and two daughters, Michele Bennett and her husband, Michael of Orlando, Florida and Lynne Sayers of Orlando, Florida.
One brother, Robert Hunt of Canada, Kentucky and two sisters, Edith Rainwater of Fort Worth, Texas and Evelyn Lockwood of Frankfort, Kentucky.
Two grandchildren, Alexander Bennett and Hannah Bennett.

Funeral services were held at the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 17, 2010 with Bro. Paul Badgett officiating.
Burial followed in the Smith Cemetery at Sidney, Kentucky.
