About Me	I am free!!! No more sin! It is gone. Swallowed up in the death of my Lord! He took it all, every last drop of my condemnation has been laid upon Him! Grace, oh the glorious grace! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! Praise the Lord! It was early in life that I heard about Jesus Christ. I never made a real connection with Him until I was twenty one though. I lived a kind of rough life for a while before I met Him. I became a thief; a bad thief! I would steal just to give it away. I quit smoking cigarettes a month before I turned 18. I ended up being a pot-head. I was known for smoking marijuana. I disrespected my parents treated them poorly and eventually I dropped out of school. I really couldn't control my life. I was hopeless and confused on many different points. But above all that mess, and it was a mess, I treated God as if He didn't exist. Practically I hated Him. I didn't ever acknowledge Him for any thing I did. I always rejected His ways in place of my own. I suppressed the truth by believing lies about Him and myself and I never thanked Him for anything. I was dead! Dead to God. But by His grace everything changed. I was sort of walking along and BAM Jesus walks in and says, "Hello Brett, I made you, I created you, every detail of you. Your personality and your humor, all your likes and dislikes, I created you with them. And I have died for you. I died for you! Because you turned your back on me and chose to put other things ahead of me; because you sinned against me every day, I died for you. I did this to bring my name glory, to forgive you of all your sins, to bring you into my eternal kingdom, to reconcile you to the God you are hating, and to show you just how much I love you.” At this point, in late 2002 I began to be awakened. My soul became alive! I started to have feelings and emotions I just didn't know existed. My heart was filled with greater love. I felt God near to me. He became real, very real. I was overwhelmed that the God I had turned my back on for all those years actually wanted to know me and show me His incredible person. I was amazed that He would be willing to forgive such a sinner as I. I trusted in Christ with all my heart because He showed me on that cross that he is strong enough to do what He said He would do and showed us that He is trustworthy. There is no evil in Him, none at all! I am still trusting in Him today. Everything in my life flows from this one reality; Jesus Christ was crucified for me. He died. He really died. And He didn't stay dead; He rose from the grave 3 days later conquering death and sin. There is nothing better than this reality. You cannot earn any greater happiness or discover a greater joy, because the joy that comes from God is greater than all other joy because He is greater than all other things. Jesus died for you as well. But you must receive Him through faith. Just believe Him; trust Him. And listen to His call to receive grace, and the freedom to come and die to your sins and live to a life of obedience to Him. I hope you take this seriously and consider your own life. If you come to know the Jesus I know you will be just as amazed as I am. He is really that awesome. Trust in Christ’s death with all your heart.
