| About Me | I spent 2 years in the Naval Reserve and 8 years in the Air Force. I spent a total of 5 years stationed in Tokyo, Japan. After that, I worked for a short time in Houston for a medical equipment company and then returned to El Paso to work for IBM. They transferred me to Austin in 1978, and I worked for them until 1982. I tried my hand at sales for 2 years in Austin and El Paso, but just couldn't get the hang of it enough to make a decent living, so I returned to Austin in 1984 and worked for Abbott Laboratories for 18 years. I took an early retirement in 2001, and goofed off for a few years working for small companies here and there until I got tired of that and decided to go back to work for real. I went to work for Selectron Inc. in 2005, and they just got bought out by Flextronics. I got laid off when the company moved their operations to Malaysia, so I went to computer school and was certified as a computer analyst. Now I've been working at Dell, Inc since 2011...(read more) |
