Karen Sue Kirby Clausen, 53, of Treynor died August 29 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.
She was born in Clarinda and graduated from Bedford High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of Zion Congregational Church.
Mrs. Clausen and her husband, Larry, were married 12 years.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her parents, Marjorie Coffman of Treynor and Ivan Kirby of Roswell, NM; two sisters, Shirley Adams and Brenda Miller, both of Oakland; a brother, Brad Coffman of Treynor; two stepbrothers, Ray Coffman of Oakland and Wayne Coffman of Lebanon, MO; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held September 1, 1999 at the Zion Congregational Church in Treynor with Rev. Kenneth Dohmen officiating. Burial was in the Zion Congregational Church Cemetery at Treynor.
