About Me	Dr. Tom Snyder, aka The Film Doctor, is an experienced journalist with 25 years of experience. He is also an internationally recognized film and mass communications scholar, as well as a religious scholar and theologian, with a BA in political science from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and a Ph.D. in film studies from Northwestern University in Evanston and Chicago, Illinois. Author of MYTH CONCEPTIONS: JOSEPH CAMPBELL AND THE NEW AGE (Baker Books, 1995) and numerous articles on politics, education, philosophy, history, popular culture, and religion, and co-author of FRODO & HARRY: UNDERSTANDING VISUAL MEDIA AND ITS IMPACT ON OUR LIVES (Crossway Books, 2003), Dr. Snyder has been published in the Washington Post, the Christian Research Journal, Human Events, and on WorldNetDaily, one of the Internet’s leading news websites. He has also been interviewed by the New York Times, the New York Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Bible Answer Man radio show, and other media outlets. Dr. Snyder has taught in the Radio-TV-Film Dept. at Northwestern University and in the Humanities Division at National University, where he taught Film and Report Writing for the Social Sciences. A volunteer research associate for Answers in Action in Costa Mesa, California (www.answers.org), he has worked as an editor at the Christian Film & Television Commission® ministry and MOVIEGUIDE®: A Family Guide to Movies and Entertainment (www.movieguide.org) since November, 1997. Currently, he serves as Editor and Producer of MOVIEGUIDE®, a magazine, TV program, radio program, and website (www.movieguide.org), and as Vice President of Good News Communications, Inc., the nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to redeeming the values of the entertainment industry which does business as Christian Film & Television Commission® and MOVIEGUIDE®.
