Barbra and I were civilian employees at WPAFB. I was the program manager for putting Chaff and Flare dispensers mounted on most of the Air Force C-130's. The program began to expand with other aircraft added such as the C-5, C-141 and the new aircraft C-17. Barbara was the manager of a program that had money. I worked with her one-on-one daily even hourly to ensure we had a viable program. As it turned out later the program included the Presidential fleet. Before the program expanded the President was going to south America to discuss the drug problem; there was concern for his safety. It was early in my program and we had 2 aircraft (at that time) modified with the dispensers. The President's plane flew to a friendly country and was then transported to his meeting by the first C-130 that had been modified with the dispensers. Yes, I was the Program Manager however, I had no funds to execute the program without Barbara's help, knowledge and constant assistance. I graduated in 1962 and Barbara in 1961. GO BEAVERS!!!
