This is a belated notice of George's passing. I received the notice soon after his death and participated in virtual memorial gathering exactly a month later arranged by his daughter Cara Kovacs. Both myself and William Korn, both BHS 1965 graduates attended as the the three of us had known each since attending class together at Marie Curie JHS in
Bayside , NY. Contact between George, William and me was episodic, but near the end we maintained contact. I regularly spoke with George on his birthday, a habit we developed later in our lives because my birthday was the same day (though I am a year younger).
