Jack Neal passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife, Ellen, nearby.
A celebration of life service will take place at Counterpoint church Saturday, March 23, 2024
Jack Neal '56 said:
Jack grew up in Bay City, Michigan, graduated from Western Michigan University, and worked many years as a personnel administrator at several southwest Michigan companies. He met Ellen at WMU and they married in 1961. Jack was such a wonderful, loving husband of 62 great years together! He loved his family, his faith, and friends. He enjoyed fishing, especially in South Haven where they had a cottage for many years, and Gourdneck Lake where they lived in Portage, and he fished all over the world. He was kind, generous, and good to everyone. He leaves two daughters, Sue (David) VanOyen of Troy, Michigan, and Marcia (Scott) McGraw, of Centerville, Michigan, two fine sons-in-law, and six grandchildren: Elizabeth, Christine, and Jonathan VanOyen and Taylor, Joshua, and Sarah McGraw. We love him.
