About Me	Once out of high school, I had a bouncing baby boy, Matthew, continued to attend NLU (now ULM), -where I would become a lifelong career college student- and obtained my Bachelor's degree. I worked in law enforcement for 12 years as dispatcher, D.A.R.E. Officer, Patrolman, Criminal Investigator, and Juvenile Officer. I married my first husband, had a beautiful baby girl, Sydney Rea, and divorced 5 years later. In 1998, I met my second husband, Scott Floyd (c/o 1989), left law enforcement in 2000 and began working for the Morehouse Parish School System while pursuing my Master's Degree in education. Scott's first wife passed away shortly after we married, so I inherited two more wonderful children, Natilli and Ryan, whom I’ve come to love just as they were my own. In 2004, I obtained my first Master's in Elementary Education, then immediately began a second Master's in Administration and Supervision. I am now finishing up my principalship and then I will be through~ unless I decide to go back for my doctorate, but right now I am thinking that 20 years in college is enough. We'll see… I am currently a special education teacher at Cherry Ridge Elementary where I teach preschool age children with multiple and severe disabilities. I am still married to Scott and we are raising our four beautiful children here in Bastrop so I can be close to my parents ...(read more)
