| About Me | I met my beloved husband sitting outside our Social Psych class. One day the Prof was talking about children teasing one another when they liked each other like kicking them, and that is when Robert kicked me in the shin. We were married from 3/74 until 10/97 when he succumbed to Melanoma that was in his brilliant brain. In between those years, we did a lot of art together and a lot of hiking. I took up running races in 83 and he took up cycling. We did a couple of duathlons together then I started cycing and he got me involved in bike racing (oh so scarey stuff). Do you know that the distance across Indian on Rte. 40 is 162 miles? Robert sagged me as I rode from Illinois at 5:00 AM to the Ohio border. The ride is called RAIN and put on by the Bloomington Bike Club. I worked for the American Cancer Society for about five years, worked at the YMCA, a private gym as a fitness instructor and aerobics teacher and Walmart when they started growing bigger. I was the voice you heard on the phone. I have run several marathons and riden quite a few miles. My knee says running is out and the cost of such racing makes me say forget it. I started training dogs for the obedience ring when I had Andy, my first Border Collie. I have owned three of these awesome animals. In my old age, I switched to my gentle Golden Retriever, Brandon. After meeting a professional singer for the Cleveland Orchestra, she becan tutoring me in music and was my big push to join the Denison Concert Choir which is students and community singers. Latin is becoming a 2nd language for me. I travel back to the Akron/North Canton area as often as I can. I enjoy riding with Stark County Bike Club with my friend, Thom. His wife Jeannie and I go to dog obedience shows. We met training dogs of course. And, I now have a twin sister of a different age and different parentage by way of Thom's sister who is a Sister at Visitation in Toledo.
