| About Me | . Since high school, I’ve raised two African American children into adulthood, headed a family of four, contributed to an extended family of more than three hundred individuals, and since 1980 organized and nurtured my NYC Harlem: Hamilton Heights/ Sugar Hill neighborhood. In 1893, fourteen years after Wilhelm Wundt founded the first psychology laboratory in the world, a Psychology Laboratory was built at Princeton University and I was the first person of color to study in Princeton’s Psychology Department which for over 70 years was all-White and a major architect of worldwide racism as a mechanism of social control. After graduating with an A.B. from Princeton University “With Honors in Psychology,” I helped integrate the almost all-White Psychology Program at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Licensed and certified to practice Psychology in New York State, I coordinated Planning and Program Evaluation for the National Urban League, the oldest (established in 1910) and only nationwide movement in the world (116 affiliates in 36 states and the District of Columbia) founded to advocate equal opportunity for people of color. Incorporating EVAXX, Inc. in 1977, a for-profit program evaluation company, I’ve conducted more than 150 program evaluations over a 30-year period bringing ideas to reality—among human service organizations.
