About Me	Right before graduation I joined the Marines and served in an A Company 8th Tank Battalion as an M-60 tank crewmember. In 1980 I had an opportunity to change branches and went into the USAF. I served over 20 years in the USAF, retiring in November 2000 as a SNCO. During my Air Force career I served my first four years at Mather AFB, CA as an Air Rescue and Base Firefighter/EMT. I cross-trained in 1984 into aircraft maintenance as an F-15 Eagle avionics technician. During my career I served throughout the world including two 4 years tours in Europe, service in the Middle East during Desert Storm and tours in FL and NC. While on active duty I got married in 1983 to Debbie Rigby of Sacramento CA and we have two daughters, Jessica who is a 5th grade teacher and Allyson who is studying to be an occupational therapist. During my military career I continued to go to night school and graduated with a B.S from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. After retirement I entered the manufacturing world I’m currently employed by General Electric Aviation at their facility here in Wilmington, NC. I still serve as a volunteer firefighter like I did in high school with a very active company that makes over 1200 calls a year.
