About	Butch served with C Co, 1st Bn, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Div, USARV in Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam. He died as a result of wounds received when his base camp came under hostile mortar attack. He was admitted to Naval Support Activity Hospital on the 24th but expired shortly thereafter. Butch was buried at Hayes Grace Memorial Park, Hitchcock, Texas.
