He joined USMC and served 2 tours in Vietnam, leaving service with National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, 3 Purple Hearts, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, RVN Cross of Gallantry w/palm & frame. Bill retired from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Dept.
