Greg was a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 28 years. Born in West Virginia, Greg was raised in Pittsburgh, PA where he became a Lithographer for Continental Can Co.

After moving to California in 1985 he eventually pursued a career as a Certified Water Operator which he did for 27 years.

Predeceased by his father, Joseph Trischler, he is survived by his wife Linda, son Justin, daughter-in-law Brandy, Mother, Betty, sisters Yvonne, Cindy and Joyce, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Walt and Debi Schild and many nieces and nephews. Greg was proudly known as Papa to his grandchildren Haleigh and Jackson.

Greg was an avid Steelers fan which he coached frequently from his chair at home. He also enjoyed bowling weekly especially competing with his good friend Brian, golfing, classic cars, a good red wine and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren. He was known for his sarcasm, good jokes, good will, easygoing attitude and willingness to help anyone.

Greg loved living in Tahoe, and he made numerous friends over the years. He will be greatly missed but will remain in the hearts of the many people that are privileged to have known and loved him.

In lieu of a service we will celebrate Greg’s life in the spring when family and friends can come together doing something Greg would truly love.
