Jay was not only a gifted athlete and an exceptional student, but he was also a talented artist. Every Saturday morning, a small group of us would carpool to Oakland to take art classes. As a result of those commutes, I got to know and appreciate Jay. Despite his quiet demeanor, he became a steady friend. We are diminished.

Ran track with him at Carnegie-Mellon. Great guy. Always could make us laugh. Very creative. Sorry he's gone.
