Andy Johnson '69 said:

Joe and I were teammates on the Durfee football team, 1966-1968. He was a spunky player and a good guy.

My memory is one day we two were walking the two miles to practice on Elsbree St. from school, (the old school on Rock St). It was a warm day, and when we got to the corner of Robeson and New Boston Road, we were thirsty and decided to stop at Cumberland's for something to drink. For some reason we thought eggnog would be the thing. Big mistake, as we learned.

We survived, but I'm sad to know Joe is gone.
