Dear alumni association, my name is Jeffrey Furtado. I am a former student and graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School class of 1995. Amazingly, it is hard to believe that time moves on as it has been 17 years since I graduated from Durfee High School. I wanted to share some news with the Alumni association. Some people develop later than others in academics. However, despite some setbacks, I never gave up my goal that I set for my self way back in high school. I would not only be the first one in my household to gradute from High School, but I would be the first in my family graduate from a University.

I graduated from Bristol Community College class of 2007 with an Associates Degree in Business General Mangement. I recently graduated from Ashford University class of 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Organizational Management with a 4.0 GPA and Summa Cum Laude. I am part of Alpha Sigma Lambda, Dean's List twice, and Golden Key international Honour Society chapters. I hope to encourage any Durfee Alumni who may want to go back to college. 2012 has been a good year as I have also just recently got married.
