| About Me | Ralph (who goes by Sam) is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His schools include Avonworth High School and later attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (BS Biology) . In 1972 Sam married Anne Iverson, whom he met in college and have enjoyed 50 years together with two children and 5 grandchildren. After college, he enlisted for 4 years in the US Coast Guard and went on in sales with Abbott Laboratories retiring after 35 years. Sam was and is an avid volunteer, being a church youth leader for over 25 years and an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Sam works with youth and adults at Summit County Metroparks & Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Since retirement Sam has written and recorded over 50 songs about nature and performs with a freelance naturalist in a nature happened called Songs and “Tails” from the Woods.
