Born September 8, 1958 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles and Jean (Jablonowski) Michael. Jim was a 1980 graduate of Robert Morris College. He was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan who shared his passion for hockey with his daughter Jessica by taking her at a young age
