Mark Waltermire attended Coldwell elementary school and was an AHS 1965 graduate, and he also graduated from UTEP in 1969. He was an avid reader and gifted artist who lived in Ruidoso for several years before he returned to be by his parents side in their later years. He was a quiet, gentle, unassuming man who could engage in conversations of depth and substance with his close circle of friends and acquaintances. He had been valiantly battling the effects of cancer for several years. Rest in peace, Mark.
