Entered active duty on 24 November 1974. Assignments included Whiteman AFB MO, Minot AFB ND, Lajes Field Azores, Peterson Field CO, and Site R PA. Retired September 1998. Worked at WorldCom, Department of Homeland Security, and the 86 Maintenance Group in Germany before returning to Illinois is September 2017. Retired in December 2017. Member of the American Legion, Patriot Guard Riders.

Vietnam Vet 1971-72. 101st Airborne Division. 4th 77th ARA (Aerial Rocket Artillery). Received Air Medal, Bronze Star, Army Commendation and assorted others. Back then, the saying was that all of those medals and 25 cents will get you a cup of coffee at any White Castle. In the picture, I am the guy in the middle. Notice my Atherton ring.
