| About Me | I attended IL College in Jacksonville for the four years following high school. I have taught elementary school in Greenfield and Springfield since 1984. I have been a gifted resource teacher, math coach, and reading specialist in addition to teaching grades 2-6. I received my masters in Education Admnistration in 1993. In 1995 I received an endorsement in Reading. In 1991 I married Ron Daugherty from Springfield. He is a Southeast graduate. Ron was a pipefitter who worked throughout Central IL for over 30 years. After an unfortuante car accident in 2006, he is now retired. In 1996 our son, Patrick, was born. He is presently a sixth grader at Glenwood Middle School. He's a good student and enjoys sports...especially baseball. His activities keep us busy. I have two step daughters, Sommer and Krista (ages 31 and 28) as well as two step granddaughters, Shana and Emersen (ages 9 and 2.) We live in Springfield near Chatham.
