Cianflona Obituary March 1, 2025 - Newcomer Columbus https://www.newcomercolumbus.com/obituaries/james-jim-cianflona?g... 1 of 4 3/6/2025, 6:25 PMGuestbook I am devastated! Jim always called me “partner” as we played many many golf tournaments together and played hundreds of rounds together! Every moment was a joy and he made me laugh so hard I would cry! I am crying now, my very good friend! So many memories! I hope I can attend the celebration of life later this summer! DOUG BOWERS Mar 3, 2025 Delaware. Jim was a huge animal lover, regularly rescued stray cats, and was known by many other critters to have food for them in his garage. He was an avid sports fan, mostly dedicated to his Cleveland Browns. Jim loved & appreciated music and, in his younger days, enjoyed being a DJ for a local hotel/dance club. Jim’s main hobby was golf, and he spent most of his non-work time at Mill Creek Golf Club in Delaware where he was affectionately known as “JC”. He loved the owners and members of Mill Creek, joined Dad and his friends in frequent rounds and won a few fun tournaments…he kept a special jar on Dad’s kitchen table to remind Dad of his winnings . Jim’s greatest love was for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat & Jack Cianflona and his brother, Matt Cianflona. He is survived by his beloved sisters, Lynne (Petrovic), Denise (Cooper), Tracey (Edwards), and Deb (George), his niece, Nicole Edwards, and nephews, David Edwards, Alex & Jack Cooper, Michael & Thomas Cianflona and Josiah George, and many cousins. A memorial service is being planned for later this summer. His family expresses deep gratitude to all those who cared for Jim in so many ways.
