Linda Kay (Painter) Love, 79, Indianapolis, IN passed away on August 13, 2023 in Mooresville, IN. Linda was born in Ashland, OH on September 19, 1943.
Linda is survived by daughters Brooke (Stacey) Love and Tauna Leonardi; sister, Janet Lou Kemp; grandchildren, Vincent & Paxton Love, Patrick & Marco & Paul Leonardi; Esbenshade cousins Kris (Dick Monagle), Ranz, John; niece Cathy Gilbert (Hickey); nephews James Gilbert, Kevin & Derek Kemp, and close family friend Shannon Donovan.
Preceded in death by parents Ruth (Esbenshade) and Willoughby Painter; sister Carol Lee Gilbert.
Linda loved watching her grandsons play baseball, spending time with her cats, and tending to her yard. Linda's career entailed teaching on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico, and teaching special education in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Linda's daughter Brooke requests that in lieu of flowers or other, please donate to a local animal rescue as that would be the greatest honor to Linda's lifelong love of animals. No formal service will be held.
