| About Me | Spent 9 wonderful years at NC State as a student then employee (4 years as a senior until they figured out I had graduated 3 years earlier and it was time to move on). So I sold my soul to Western Electric (the part of AT&T that made telephones) and went to work doing anti-submarine warfare work. When the Berlin Wall fell it was time to find something else so I switched to Medical Imaging with AT&T Bell Labs/ Bowman Gray Medical School. AT&T sold that business out from under me so it was back to looking for now rare submarines. (Bet you didn't know the phone company did all of this other stuff). I then switched to AT&T corporate working on employee benefits. In 1996 AT&T spun me off to Lucent, in 2000 Lucent spun me off to Avaya, in 2001 Avaya gave me early retirement and outsourced me to IBM, in 2002 IBM announced my job was going to India and I fortunately landed a job in local government.
