Rose Marie Lambert DeHart
Class of 1947
I am Rose Marie Lambert Rushin DeHart, class of 1947. I am one of the members of the "Greatest Generation".
I am happy to report that at the age of 83, I am still actively participating. I live in Raleigh, NC. I am the mother of two sons, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 4 great grand children. I also have 3 sons, and 4 granddaughters that I received during my second marriage to the Reverend Murry Lee DeHart.
I do not sit idle. I have published two novels, The Giveaway Girl and Chase and the Buttermilk Sky, and am currently writing my third, tentatively titled My Mother's Secret. They are available at on line bookstores and on the shelf locally in Raleigh, NC bookstores.
I have fond memories of my school years and cherish the friendships I formed there.
My aunt, Massa Lambert taught English and Journalism at AHS for many years -- I don't recall how many. I have fond memories of my days at dear old AHS
