Patty and I went to Drake back before sliced bread, (very early '60's). We were having a verbal dust up in Mr. (Pete) Conway's spanish class, I was ahead in points, Mr. Conway got wind of it, ordered me to remove my brand new glasses and "educated" me on how to treat a young lady with a SMACK across the face, (which I deserved). We were mutually combative, but I think we could have been friends had we been a bit "wiser" in our youth. I recently lost my wife of 50 years, (Sharon Schnapp [Vigil])Condolenses to friends/family...
