Ernie died on Dec. 27, 1996 of stomach cancer. At the time of his passing he was a tractor trailer driving instructor in Kingston, NY. He was always the funniest one in the room, and brought laughter to all who knew him. He played baseball while at Arlington and along with Roger Hancock was known as the Keystone Combo.
