Cheri battled breast cancer for many years. While striving to continue her education and a new life in Berkeley, California, the cancer metastasized to her brain. Cheri (Chris) was awarded a posthumous PHD from UC Davis at Berkeley in memory and commemoration for her dedication and struggle for her persuit of knowledge in women’s studies.
