| About | John William Fuller March 12, 1952 - January 8, 2026 FORT WORTH - It is with deepest regret that we announce the loss of Bill Fuller, age 73, who passed away peacefully at his Fort Worth home on January 8, 2026, after a long battle with metastatic melanoma. Bill was born John William Fuller in Dallas, Texas, on March 12, 1952. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1970, earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Southern Methodist University in 1974, and earned a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1978. His spiritual journey was thoughtful and evolving, guided by a deep respect for life, curiosity, and living consciously. Bill touched many lives through his spirit of humor, curiosity, and kindness, earning him the nickname "Sunshine" in high school. He proudly served on the board at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. In middle-age, Bill was a caring father and devoted much of his time outside of work to his children's myriad activities - he coached his youngest children's soccer team, the Heartbreakers, from age 3 until 5th grade. Later in life, he married his wife, Linda, to whom he was a devoted husband. He never lost his youthful sense of fun and had a special gift of making children laugh. "Poppy" was dearly loved by his grandchildren. Bill was a true dreamer. In addition to founding Fuller Capital Management, which he managed as a small business owner until his retirement, he also started the vacation rental company Fuller's Folly River Ranch, with a mission of connecting people in nature. His legacy will carry on in his community through the many people who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his brother, Larry; his four children, Colin, Lauren, Margaret, and Kate; and five grandchildren, Haley, Benjamin, Lily, Jacob, and Isaac. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Joy. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Park. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on January 18, 2026, in the Lecture Hall at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, 3220 Botanical Garden Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; followed by a reception at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suites C & D, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. |
