About Me	Dennis is a practicing lawyer in Dubai. He restricts his practice to the establishment and regulatory compliance of Investment Funds in the DIFC, ADGM, the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt and Qatar together with the establishment of Investment Funds globally in the Cayman Islands. He is a member of the Banking & Finance Group – practicing solely in Investment Funds and the Venture Capital and Emerging Companies Group. He brings with him 30 years of experience in Banking and Finance with a concentration in the formation and regulation of domestic and foreign public and private placement investment funds, including private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, umbrella funds, Islamic funds, Exchange Traded Funds, property funds, including REITS, and structures them using either a protected cell company, incorporated cell company, investment company, investment trust and limited partnership and assists with the listing shares on recognised exchanges. Prior to being engaged by Al Tamimi & Company, Dennis was a Senior Counsel with Conyers Dill & Pearman (from 2007 to 2009 in the Cayman Islands and from 2009 to 2018 in the DIFC in Dubai). Prior to joining Conyers, Dennis was a senior equity partner at Fasken and McMillan (Lang MIchener LLP) in Vancouver, Canada in the Corporate/Business Group (Natural Resources, Environmental, Banking/Capital Markets and M&A). He also spend some time as the Head of Legal for a mid-size gold mining company based out of Washington State with several mining operations in Canada.
