Carolyn attended Aragon High School, but graduated from San Mateo High as a transfer.
Here is the text from Carolyn's obituary:
"With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carolyn Louise Varner (San Mateo, California), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Carolyn Louise left this world on March 1, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Carolyn Louise shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Carolyn Louise farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her pets, Jupiter, Louie, Atticus and Uni; her parents, Mary Branchfield and Russell Branchfield; and her sisters, Kathleen and Mary Ellen.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Peninsula Humane Society in Carolyn's honor to celebrate her passion for animal welfare."

Carolyn was married and divorced from John F. Varner in San Mateo, but the exact date and location are unknown.
On another alumni site, Carolyn posted that she attended two of Aragon's 1963 class reunions. Her school photo can be found in Aragon's 1962 yearbook. Carolyn's Facebook page shows she attended College of San Mateo for one year. Her last post was in 2024.
