The irrepressible Mr. Rittenour sadly passed away at the young age of sixty-two. His wry sense of humor over the intercom was the perfect way to start a school day. The text below is from one of the sites linked below.
"When Robert Gould Rittenour was born on 15 August 1915, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States, his father, Floyd Isaac Rittenour, was 38 and his mother, Marietta Sidney Gould, was 27. He married Ellen Kyle Wellensiek in 1951. He lived in Kingston, Ross, Ohio, United States in 1935 and Delaware Township, Delaware, Ohio, United States in 1940. He registered for military service in 1941. He died on 16 August 1977, in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, California, United States, at the age of 62, and was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Salem Township, Tuscarawas, Ohio, United States."
