Marlaine Meyer-Perez passed away after a three-year battle with cancer. One of her daughters reported this on Linked In. Ancestry.com also reported that Marlaine's death occurred in 2024, and that she was married and divorced from Robert M. Gonzales and to Willie L. Johnson in San Mateo County. The dates and exact locations of those events are unknown. On another alumni site, Marlaine reported that she was living in Tracy, California.

I knew Marlene in high school. We were friends for quite a while and I stood by her when she left home and married Gonzales.
We lost touch after she left school and would run into her from time to time. She was always kind to me, generous of heart and was a good friend. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
